About American Mah Jongg
americanmahjongg.app is a free online American Mah Jongg game built by fans of the game. We created it because we wanted a place where anyone could play American Mah Jongg, whether you are practicing solo against computer opponents, playing with friends across the country, or learning the game for the first time.
Why We Built This
American Mah Jongg is a beloved game with a passionate community, but options for playing online have been limited. Many existing platforms are outdated, require downloads, or are cluttered with ads. We set out to build something better: a modern, fast, ad-free experience that works on any device: desktop, tablet, or phone.
What Makes Us Different

- No download required: play instantly in your browser
- 2026 NMJL card: updated with the current year's official card
- Play your way: solo against the computer, with friends, or a mix
- Works everywhere: desktop, tablet, and mobile
- AI play assistant: get help learning strategy as you play
