What is a Wall Game?

A wall game (also called a draw) occurs when all tiles from the wall are used and no player has won. The game ends without a winner, no points are exchanged, and a new game begins. This happens in roughly 10-15% of games.

A wall game happens when every tile in the wall has been drawn without anyone completing a winning hand. No points change hands, and the East position stays put. Wall games show up in roughly 10-15% of games. Causes include multiple players chasing the same tiles, defensive late-game play, or just unlucky tile distribution. A wall game isn't always a loss. If you're behind, blocking everyone else from winning protects your score. Once the wall starts running low, your strategy should shift: defensive discards matter more than chasing risky tiles.
